Process scale-up and contract extraction
Today, our network of partners operates extraction facilities using EcoXtract® technology. These extraction facilities and skills can be used on a toll basis to :
• Launch commercial production from various types of biomass and seeds
• Scale-up extraction process with various batch sizes
• Perform industrial demonstration on continuous runs before implementing EcoXtract® solution at larger scale
In addition, our team have built a strong network within the industry giving direct access to refining or downstream processing technologies for extraction products (refining, short-path distillation, gentle desolventization of plant proteins,…)
Engineering support
Greenfield projects
Our engineering team works with you to define the scope and size of your proposed greenfield extraction line in close collaboration with your equipment supplier, providing you with the best advice and process solutions to meet your needs
Conversion of an existing solvent-based extraction plant
Our process engineering team performs impact studies on existing extraction sites willing to adopt the methyloxolane and uses a four-step systematical approach to secure the implementation of EcoXtract® process in an existing extraction facility :
- Preliminary diagnosis (on-site visit, validation of equipment compatibility, plant parameters collection and safety assessment)
- Process simulation on Chemcad software and comparison of the existing operating conditions (energy and steam consumptions, solvent losses,…) with an in-silico EcoXtract® plant
- Estimation of the modification and associated CAPEX (if needed) and plant future operating costs
- Plant modification in close collaboration with an engineering company and run preparation
